About the Role

Cleveland Clinic Florida Coral Springs is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Ambulatory Surgery Center's Operating Room. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring aseptic technique and electrical and environmental safety
  • Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, counting, and side-site verification
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including specimen collection and repair worksheets
  • Collaborate with the RN Circulator to ensure proper room utilization and efficient surgical schedules
Requirements
  • One year of surgical technologist experience in an Operating Room
  • Surgical Technology Program accredited through CAAHEP or ABHES
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of experience in a multi-disciplined OR in an acute care hospital setting
