Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Athletic Trainer to join our team at JAG Physical Therapy. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing athletic training services to our clients, including injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain an effective athletic training program for our clients
  • Provide athletic training services for events and competitions
  • Monitor and control environmental risks to create a safe playing environment
  • Coordinate and manage medical and risk management of athletes, including preventative care, emergency care, and health records
  • Act as a workers' compensation case manager for our clients
  • Document injuries, illnesses, treatment, and rehabilitation in accordance with our policies and state licensure standards
  • Provide in-services and educational programs to local schools, coaches, athletes, and communities on health and fitness-related topics
  • Collaborate with other JAG professionals in programs such as Physical Therapy and physician-related services
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-approved program
  • BOC certification and licensure by the State of New York as an Athletic Trainer
  • Current BLS certification and Personal Liability Insurance
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to fluid situations
