POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Site Leader will manage the daily operations of the program, ensuring alignment with the mission and goals of YMCA CBA. This role involves planning, leading, and assessing group activities at a designated site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversee the daily management of the program site, including administrative duties, budget management, and maintenance of the facility.
  2. Ensure compliance with all licensing standards and regulations.
  3. Develop and implement high-quality programming that meets educational and community service objectives.
  4. Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  5. Provide ongoing coaching and performance evaluations for staff, ensuring professional development opportunities are available.
  6. Cultivate positive relationships with families, school staff, and community partners to support the needs of children and their families.
  7. Assist administrative staff in data collection and reporting as required by contracts and grants.
  8. Monitor and evaluate program outcomes to ensure goals are met.
  9. Promote and maintain full enrollment in the program.
  10. Keep accurate records and documentation for the program.
  11. Implement effective behavior management strategies that encourage positive behavior in children.
  12. Document and report significant behaviors and incidents in accordance with established policies.
  13. Clearly communicate program standards and policies to parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress.
  14. Lead by example, fostering a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
  15. Address concerns from students and parents promptly and effectively.
  16. Participate actively in training sessions, staff meetings, and special events as scheduled.
  17. Perform additional duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands of this position require the ability to supervise activities effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
  • Visual acuity to monitor activities and ensure safety.
  • Mobility to respond quickly to emergencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • AA Degree required; BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Compliance with educational and experience requirements set by state law and licensing standards.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in educational settings.
  • Strong cultural awareness and ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Experience in team facilitation and problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • Health screening and TB clearance required.
  • Current certifications in Pediatric First Aid and CPR, with additional health and safety training required.
  • Background check clearance required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.
