Candidate Profile

You possess a robust background in inventory financial management and have experience overseeing high-value, intricate, customized inventory. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and upholding precise inventory records, performing regular reconciliations, and ensuring adherence to internal controls. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will work closely with various departments, including operations, sales, and procurement, to facilitate seamless inventory oversight and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes for complex, high-value goods.
  • Track inventory acquisitions and provide financial support and analysis to the production team. Prepare monthly purchase reconciliations.
  • Develop the annual budget and establish labor/overhead rates semi-annually for our internal manufacturing unit.
  • Conduct account variance analysis focusing on inventory and cost accounting, gross margin, cost of goods sold, and international and intercompany transactions.
  • Assist the Controller in managing the Company's SOX compliance program, ensuring compliance with processes in the Accounting and IT departments.
  • Support the Controller in managing external audit schedules assigned to the accounting team, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Guarantee the timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Engage in additional accounting and analytical projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory, and cost accounting (experience in luxury retail is preferred).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with modern ERP systems (NetSuite is advantageous).
  • Proficient in advanced Excel skills, capable of analyzing large datasets and executing complex calculations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Compensation Transparency

The targeted base salary is $110,000, complemented by an annual bonus. The total compensation package is influenced by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Work Environment

Our workplace is maintained in a clean, organized manner, with appropriate lighting and ventilation, adhering to safety standards. Noise levels are low, and daily physical activities are light, primarily involving office work with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, bending, stooping, kneeling, or walking.
