Position Overview

The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) is in search of enthusiastic and dedicated SAT Mathematics Instructors to work with students in various communities.

Company: TPAPT Chapter, Philadelphia

Compensation: $30/hr-$50/hr

Classification: Part-time Employee (W2)

Tutoring Format: Private Learning Center, 60-minute sessions

As an instructor, you will collaborate closely with students to identify their distinct learning preferences and develop tailored lesson plans that align with their academic objectives.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have a passion for education, excellent communication abilities, and a strong commitment to fostering student achievement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-person tutoring sessions for students in grades 9-12.
  • Design individualized lesson plans for each student.
  • Administer assessments to gauge student understanding.
  • Engage with students' families to provide updates on progress.
  • Keep detailed records of sessions, scores, and overall student development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Proven expertise in SAT Mathematics or comprehensive knowledge of all SAT sections.
  • Experience in counseling, teaching, or tutoring high school students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
