Job Summary:

Sentiont is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Developer to join our team. As an embedded software developer, you will be responsible for executing complete embedded software life cycles for Sentiont and its clients.

You will have extensive experience coding in Python and/or C and C++, and have excellent knowledge of embedded coding techniques. The goal is to develop scalable software systems that are optimized for the embedded device.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collects information on systems-level project specifications, performance requirements, and known capabilities and limitations.
  • Reviews and modifies existing systems software to improve performance, correct errors, and conform with compatibility requirements of available hardware.
  • Designs systems software to meet project requirements, collaborating with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and other developers as needed.
  • Develops and leads software system testing and validation procedures; compiles relevant documentation.
  • Uses mathematical models and scientific analysis to predict and measure consequences and other outcomes of software system design.
  • Coordinates and schedules installation of software systems.
  • Trains, or provides training documentation to, users on new or modified systems and networks.
  • Estimates budget and scope of projects, and revises them in accordance with the company and its clients requests.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems is required.

Desired Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience with Cyber Security, Machine Learning / Data Analysis, Computer Interfacing, Embedded System Design, and Data Analysis supporting system development.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely present ideas, reports, and budgets in various forms to the company and its clients.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Up to 30% time working in an outdoor environment, with watercraft.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.

Other Requirements:

  • Must have U.S. citizenship.

Estimated Compensation Range:

$105,000 - $130,000
