Job Title: Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at LendingTree. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications used by clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop web applications with best engineering practices, including user interfaces, integrations with third-party web services, and database management.
  • Collaborate with business partners to define project requirements and acceptance criteria, and demonstrate working solutions to stakeholders.
  • Support existing web applications, including troubleshooting, bug fixing, and required upgrades and modifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience developing web applications with C#, ASP.NET MVC, JS frameworks (Angular/react/Vue).
  • Experience with SQL Server or other RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of current best practices of web application development using HTML 5 and CSS.
  • Reasonable understanding of software engineering best practices, such as SOLID principles and design patterns.
  • Development experience under an agile development methodology and process.
  • Strong written and oral communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience building and consuming microservices, such as Rest or GraphQL.
  • Experience with unit testing and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience using tools Jira, Visual Studio, Git, VS Code.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with system design, detail design before implementation.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform, YAML pipeline maintenance.
  • Experience with pair programming, swarming, and mobbing.
