About the Role

Mercy Medical Center is seeking a skilled Dietary Cashier to join our team. As a key member of our food service department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurants, cafes, and kiosks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive cash and credit card payments from customers with accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and effective communication to all customers
  • Assist with the daily operation of restaurants, cafes, and kiosks, including serving customers, stocking sale products, and completing cleaning assignments
Requirements
  • High School transcript showing completion of a minimum of 9th grade or successful completion of literacy assessment
  • Prefer 1 year of cash handling experience
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner
  • Ability to work independently and make independent decisions when necessary
  • Ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public
