UPMC Presbyterian is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical/Transplant Division as part of our Fast Track to ICU Program. This program is designed to equip new graduate and experienced nurses with the skills and knowledge required to become successful and confident ICU nurses.
About the Program:
The Fast Track to ICU Program is a comprehensive training program that provides nurses with the opportunity to gain experience in our surgical floors, specifically 10N (GI Surgery) or 11N (Abdominal Transplant), and subsequently be paired with the Transplant ICU. This program is designed to help nurses develop the skills and knowledge required to care for the diverse and high-acuity patient population of UPMC Presbyterian.
About the Units:
10 North is a 25-bed all-private room Surgical Oncology unit that focuses on Gastrointestinal and Liver Surgery. The patient population consists of colon, gastric, pancreatic cancer, and gastrointestinal disorders that require surgery. The liver population on the unit consists of liver resections, chemotherapy, and management of common bile duct injuries.
11 North at UPMC Montefiore is a 22-bed unit specializing in the care of patients undergoing complex abdominal transplants. The types of procedures we conduct and the equipment we use change from patient to patient, so our nurses need to be very focused and adaptable.

Requirements:
- Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse
