Maintenance Technician

3M is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Angleton, Texas. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and components, including bearings, bushings, gear boxes, pump seals, clutches, brakes, drive components, valves, motors, and couplings.
- Adjust and maintain mechanical equipment, such as hydraulic and pneumatic machinery and equipment, variable speed power transmission systems, conveyors, HVAC systems, and extruders.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make repairs or adjustments, including repairing parts or correcting existing parts.
- Support the maintenance team by assisting in mechanical repair and troubleshooting.
- Create program modifications and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and controls systems & programs.
- High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution.
- Possess a two (2) year technical diploma/degree or higher in a Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Systems/Process Automation or Maintenance discipline from an accredited institution, or possess a minimum of three (3) years' maintenance experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
- Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, and reasoning ability. Self-motivated, team-oriented, and good interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and skills of mechanical concepts needed to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment and electrical devices.
- Direct proven skill level in working with original equipment manuals, prints, drawings, and reading/understanding ladder logic.
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, Drives, and components, & Siemens Step7 PLCs, Drives, and components. Comfortable working with 480VAC and 700VDC electrical systems.
3M offers a competitive starting rate of pay, with the potential to reach $38/hour.
