About the Role

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team in Waxahachie, Texas.

Job Summary

The Radiation Therapist will work under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist to perform radiation therapy procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation therapy protocols and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner.
  • Maintain production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures.
  • Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to identify patient service requirements and establish rapport.
  • Prepares patient and area for the procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, and adjusting equipment controls.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection control, drug and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques.
Requirements
  • CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - ARRT-T Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T): Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T).
