A Day in the Life as a Customer Service Representative/Teller

As a Customer Service Representative/Teller at The State Bank, you will play a critical role in delivering quality customer service and completing teller transactions in a courteous, accurate, and efficient manner. You will be responsible for:

  • Processing routine banking transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, checks, transfers, and loan payments
  • Assisting customers with account validation, account inquiries, check reorders, investigating check clearings, accessing safe deposit boxes, and account reconciliation
  • Utilizing your product knowledge to promote, educate, and cross-sell financial products and services to meet customers' current and future financial needs
  • Providing exceptional customer service and resolving customer complaints in a professional and timely manner

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • An understanding of computer applications and business equipment
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Strong customer service and sales skills, with a positive attitude and ability to multitask
