Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Documentation Registered Nurse II to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our revenue integrity team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of medical records for cardiac procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review inpatient and outpatient medical records for specific cardiac procedure and device placement documentation and verification.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements and coding rules and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, CV surgeons, nursing, and other clinical staff to develop relationships and influence physician documentation processes.
  • Meet established productivity targets for record review and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a state board accredited school of nursing or equivalent with a BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of five years experience in Cath Lab or Critical Care, with experience with compliance audits preferred.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas (or active licensure in another state and in the process of seeking a Texas RN license).
  • Certification such as CCM or CCRN preferred.
