Join Bechtel Construction Services as a Boilermaker Journeyman and take on a challenging role in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker Journeyman to join our team at Corpus Christi LNG Stage 3. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing boilers and other pressure vessels.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work outdoors in various weather conditions and confined spaces to assemble and install boilers and pressure vessels.
  2. Load and attach rigging, signal crane operators to lift parts to specified positions.
  3. Assemble boiler frames, tanks, walls, roofs, floors, plates, and beams.
  4. Grind welds or seams to fit and install boiler casings, grades, handrails, manhole, and hand-hole covers.
  5. Align water tubes and connectors, expand ends to drums and headers, and bolt casing sections, uptakes, stacks, baffles, and fabricated parts.
  6. Test assembled vessels and install manholes, hand-holes, valves, gauges, and feed-water connections on drums.
  7. Clean scale from boiler tubes and replace and reassemble gratings, ladders, handrails, and other disassembled structures after repairs.
  8. Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
  9. Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials and work pieces during installation.
  10. Perform minor cleaning activities of tools and equipment.

Requirements
