Key Responsibilities as a Commercial Tire Service Technician:

As a Commercial Tire Service Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating heavy-duty service trucks and associated tools
  • Removing, installing, rotating, and balancing commercial tires in the shop and at fleet locations
  • Evaluating tire conditions to determine repair or replacement needs
  • Providing fleet inspections at customer locations to make tire recommendations
  • Performing tire fleet services on-site to manage fleet tire specifications
  • Responding to emergency road service calls to repair or replace blown tires
  • Preparing paperwork detailing services performed and submitting to sales
  • Effectively communicating with service and sales teams to meet fleet needs

Equipment and Safety:

  • Operating a heavy-duty tire service truck
  • Maintaining assigned service trucks for preventive maintenance and appearance
  • Raising and lowering vehicles safely using hydraulic or floor jacks
  • Safely operating shop machinery, including safety cages, spreaders, balancers, floor jacks or lifts, air-powered tools, torque wrenches, and torque sticks
  • Operating and maintaining diagnostic equipment

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Positive attitude and ability to relate well with colleagues and customers
