About the Position

The Senior Application Administrator is a critical role within our organization, responsible for the installation, update, customization, security, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of core banking and core supporting software solutions, including Fiserv DNA. This position requires strong technical skills, technical coordination, and communication skills to work effectively with team members, other areas of technology, business units, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and business unit needs.
  2. Analyze documentation and technical specifications of new applications to determine their intended functionality.
  3. Lead supporting business subject matter experts and business system analysts in understanding the technical solution to business requirements throughout the development, testing, and implementation phases of new projects.
  4. Validate that newly developed functionality meets technical requirements and does not break existing functionality.
  5. Ensure that new software integrations into company systems meet functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
  6. Review and analyze existing core and core supporting applications and related systems for effectiveness and efficiency, including DR, load balancing, and system availability.
  7. Perform application tuning, configuration, monitoring, and administration for major apps related to the position.
  8. Plan, manage, and implement new core and core supporting software solutions and integrations.
  9. Maintain system documentation, including various environments and maintenance schedules.
  10. Develop and manage working relationships with customers to acquire a sense of their information technology needs and develop a more in-depth knowledge of their business and processes.
  11. Manage vendor relationships, including account managers, operations managers, and technical support.
  12. Develop an in-depth understanding of all policies, procedures, standards, and operating processes associated with information technology areas.
  13. Critical response to financial systems availability, making business decisions on member/employee experience and software/hardware solutions to improve the infrastructure.
  14. Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices.
  15. Provide Tier 3 support for core and core supporting systems and applications.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 7-9 years of experience in Information Technology.
  2. Minimum 4-6 years of experience in core and core supporting application support or systems administration.
  3. Understanding of core Microsoft product stack, including the latest editions of Windows Server, Windows Workstation, Microsoft Office/productivity suite, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policies, and IIS.
  4. Fundamental understanding of three-tier/N-tier application architecture and network technologies enabling various application tiers.
  5. Ability to function in a Consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment.
  6. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  7. Travel required on occasion.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. BA/BS Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  2. Familiarity with Fiserv DNA core application stack, including SAF, CoreAPI, Multipoint, t-Magic Automic, Velocity/Loan Director, Nautilus OnBase ECM, Compliance One, SQL Developer, or TOAD.
  3. Experience with scripting (XML, Xpath, Batch, PERL, SQL, PowerShell).
  4. Motivated towards constantly improving technical skills.
  5. Previous experience in credit unions or other financial institutions.
