SSM Health is seeking a highly skilled Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary care services to patients, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct physical exams, take medical histories, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Prescribe medications and order medical treatments as authorized by state law and hospital policy.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or eligible for certification.
- State licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or eligible for licensure.
- 2+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a primary care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
