The Infusion Nurse will be tasked with:
Delivering care to patients in the Outpatient Infusion area. Registered Nurse assignments may include various locations, based on clinical and staffing requirements. The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional in Massachusetts, accountable for planning and delivering patient care for assigned individuals in alignment with Nursing Standards of Care as outlined in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. The nurse demonstrates initiative, expertise, and clinical proficiency in managing patients with complex needs. The Registered Nurse assumes full responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care and reports directly to a designated nurse manager or supervisor.

Documents patient care clearly and in compliance with nursing standards. Develops comprehensive care plans based on initial assessments and interdisciplinary input. Creates educational plans for patients and families, utilizing appropriate resources. Formulates discharge plans with necessary resources and referrals. Evaluates the effectiveness of care plans and revises as needed to meet goals. Actively participates in quality management and improvement initiatives. Ensures a safe environment for patients, staff, families, and visitors. Administers medications safely according to established protocols. Performs nursing procedures efficiently and safely.
