About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our Duke GI - Endoscopy of Raleigh team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in assisting medical professionals during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine, prepare, and set up medical supplies and equipment for procedures.
  • Explain procedures to patients, allaying their fears and eliciting cooperation.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including obtaining specimens and positioning them.
  • Assist physicians and nursing personnel during procedures, handling instruments and equipment.
  • Manually clean endoscopes and perform high-level disinfection.
  • Distribute supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Assist with patient transportation and provide refreshments.
  • Clean and dress stretchers, and clean procedure rooms.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or successful completion of the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) certification exam.
Work Environment

This role is a day shift position, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays. Duke Health Integrated Practice is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive work environment.
