Primary Responsibilities:
- Quantitative Analysis – Design and sustain risk and client models along with model systems across various product lines. These models provide insights into critical risk factors, including loan defaults, exposure at default (EAD), loss given default (LGD), delinquency rates, prepayment scenarios, balances, pricing strategies, risk appetite, revenue streams, and cash flow analysis.
- Quantitative Development – Architect, implement, maintain, enhance, and integrate quantitative solutions on strategic platforms. Deliverables include libraries that execute consumer risk model calculations, analytical tools, processes, and documentation. Collaborate in defining, adopting, and executing the technical strategy.
- Risk and Client Management Solutions – Develop top-tier quantitative solutions that empower business lines to manage risk and client relationships effectively, utilizing a disciplined development process that involves extensive collaboration with model owners and stakeholders throughout the quantitative lifecycle.
- Infrastructure Development – Collaborate in advancing the infrastructure to support organizational goals through code efficiencies and the expansion of quantitative capabilities, optimizing the use of infrastructure and computational resources.
- Documentation – Produce clear, quantitative documentation to inform stakeholders, comply with policy requirements, and facilitate successful engagement in regulatory examinations through automated, modularized, and standardized documentation and presentations.
Essential Qualifications and Technical Expertise:
- Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Proven expertise in architecting, designing, and deploying solutions with comprehensive software development lifecycle management experience.
- Experience in architecting and managing Big Data environments and complex data processing, with a successful track record in deploying large-scale software projects.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive results with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to navigate a large, complex organization and influence various stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker capable of setting the vision and design for technology-enabled solutions.
- Effective leadership and people management skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficient programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
- Flexibility and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in quantitative modeling is advantageous.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools, such as Tableau or similar platforms.
