The ideal candidate will be a proactive and enthusiastic leader with practical experience and a proven track record in managing teams and overseeing daily operations.


QUALIFICATIONS

Reporting directly to the Property Manager, the successful applicant will excel in a collaborative environment and should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience with government-assisted and subsidized housing programs is essential.
  • Certification as a Tax Credit Specialist and/or Certified Occupancy Specialist is preferred.
  • Practical experience in assisting with daily operations, maintenance initiatives, marketing, leasing activities, occupancy management, and annual tenant certifications.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and customer service communication skills are critical; proficiency in MS-Word, Excel, and Outlook is advantageous, as is familiarity with Yardi software.
  • Ability to collaborate with the manager, residents, and staff to foster a harmonious and cohesive environment.
  • A flexible mindset, positive attitude, team spirit, and eagerness to learn are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Assistant Property Manager will support the Property Manager by managing various assigned tasks, including:

  • Ensuring that systems comply with HUD and state housing agency guidelines.
  • Guaranteeing that all necessary regulations are established to enhance resident and employee safety and health.
  • Overseeing that all contracts are professionally drafted and that appropriate engineering specifications are included for major repair work.
  • Maintaining compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws.
  • Assisting in rent collection, processing move-ins/move-outs in the Yardi system, and completing annual and interim household certifications.
  • Collaborating closely with other staff members in the property office and maintenance areas.
