Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the PACU department at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to assigned patients, utilizing the nursing process and meeting established standards within the nursing department.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed, and document patient care activities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Identify and address potential risks and hazards, and take proactive steps to minimize or prevent adverse events.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa or Nebraska.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, unless otherwise specified.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a critical care or comparable setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
