Position Overview
The Silicon Fabrication Process Engineering I team is seeking an experienced Electronics/Diffusion Process Engineer to support our semiconductor fabrication efforts.

As a vital member of our dynamic team, you will engage in innovative process development and wafer processing within a low-volume production and prototyping environment that supports national security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine diffusion processes for microelectronics device fabrication tailored to production and research needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to establish process specifications and requirements.
  • Conduct experimental trials to assess and enhance diffusion methodologies, materials, and equipment.
  • Analyze process data and perform root cause analyses to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Implement process control strategies to ensure reliable and repeatable diffusion outcomes.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot diffusion machinery to guarantee peak performance and minimal operational downtime.
  • Stay informed on industry advancements in diffusion technology to promote continuous improvement.
  • Document process development activities, including workflows, instructions, and technical reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel and fellow engineers.

Due to the nature of the work, the selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Salary Range
$109,300 - $217,400
*Salary is estimated and will be finalized based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Qualifications Required:

  • Master's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Optics, Chemistry, or a related STEM field, along with four or more years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in CMOS semiconductor thin film fabrication processes.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in one of the aforementioned fields.
  • Direct experience in a production setting and troubleshooting semiconductor tools and equipment.
