Job Title: Principal Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Scientist to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. As a Principal Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leading the development of machine learning models and algorithms to drive business growth and improve customer experiences.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of data scientists, engineers, and product managers to develop and deploy cutting-edge machine learning solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-performance, scalable applications for personalized recommendations using machine learning technologies such as Java, Python, Pyspark, Tensorflow, and PyTorch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage machine learning technologies to design, develop, and implement high-performance, scalable applications for personalized recommendations.
  • Create robust machine learning models using structured and unstructured data sets and advanced algorithms, including Neural Networks, Regression Models, and Gradient Boosting Algorithms.
  • Work closely with Product and engineering leaders to drive and expedite innovations in discovery experiences through insights, frameworks, causal inference solutions, and machine learning prototypes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and implement data-driven solutions, consistently enhancing our personalization and recommendation capabilities.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree/PHD in Data science, Computer Science or related fields with 10+ years of industry experience.
  • Expertise in Machine Learning, Statistics, Personalization and Item Recommendation algorithms.
  • Experience in data science and building and evaluating large scale machine learning & deep learning models.
  • Experience in designing and deploying highly scalable Recommenders Systems for e-commerce.
  • Curiosity in state-of-the-art techniques in recommendation related areas.
  • Solid Understanding of Machine Learning and AI.
