Exhibits expertise in executing all CT examinations, administering contrast agents, and providing related patient care services. ResponsibilitiesJob Performance
- Demonstrates proficiency in preparing patients for procedures and administering contrast agents.
- Efficiently performs all designated CT procedures.
- Utilizes sound judgment for effective planning and problem-solving.
- Maintains awareness of radiation safety for self and others.
- Exhibits competence in the storage and transfer of examinations.
Patient Care
- Provides patient education and ensures appropriate consent forms are completed.
- Demonstrates proficiency in delivering age-appropriate care.
- Accurately obtains and documents patient history and interprets physician orders.
- Timely orders, tracks, and charges examinations.
Quality Improvement
- Ensures that equipment is functioning correctly and conducts all necessary quality control assessments.
- Records technical information, completes reports and surveys, and adheres to all regulatory requirements.
- Completes Occurrence Reports as necessary.
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology with requisite training and experience as mandated by licensing authorities.
Experience: 1-2 years in General Radiology. Previous experience in CT is preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s): The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in both Radiology and CT. Holds a current or conditional license from the relevant state health department. CPR certification. Valid driver's license for work-related travel.
