Legacy System Developer

Luna Data Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Legacy System Developer to join our Information Technology team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement advanced solutions in alignment with our standards, guidelines, and design documentation.
  • Perform coding, testing, debugging, and provide high-quality solutions for large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical staff to ensure seamless coordination of changes, prepare test data, troubleshoot issues, and ensure systems meet availability and performance requirements.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in making code changes in accordance with standards, guidelines, and design documents provided.
  • 5+ years of proficiency in coordinating the testing, debugging, and preparing of test data and interacting with technical and non-technical staff in the coordination of changes.
  • 5+ years of professional background in software development building production software systems.
  • 5+ years of familiarity with IBM Enterprise COBOL for z/OS.
  • 5+ years of experience in IBM DB2 for z/OS.
  • 5+ years of hands-on work with MVS/JCL.
  • 5+ years of involvement in data integration and data quality.
  • 5+ years of practice with Software AG's NATURAL.
  • 5+ years of engagement with highly complex application security requirements.
  • 2+ years of involvement with any of the Texas Statewide Financial Systems: USAS, USPS, SPRS, TINS, HRIS, and SPA.
  • 2+ years of background in Agile development experience with Scrum, Kanban, Jira, and Confluence.
  • 2+ years of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, TEAMS, Microsoft Project, Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint.
