Senior Scientist

Chimera Enterprises International is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to support the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND) JPEO-CBRND Headquarters (HQ). The JPEO-CBRND manages our nation's investments in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense equipment, and medical countermeasures worldwide.

The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge in multiple engineering and scientific fields and have previous experience applying this knowledge to CBRN Defense with minimal supervision. They will work on a multi-disciplined team in a DoD acquisition environment, performing multiple tasks simultaneously and rapidly redirecting efforts based on changing requirements.

The Senior Scientist will provide scientific knowledge of new/novel technologies that may pose a CBRN threat in the near and far term. They will participate in working groups, meetings, and support development and review of necessary documents to support Senior Leader decisions impacting the portfolio.

Required qualifications include a Doctorate degree in Engineering, Science, Business Management, Systems Management, or a related discipline, as well as twelve (15) years of general experience and ten (10) years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Business Management, Systems Management, or a related discipline, as well as twenty (20) years of general experience and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience is also acceptable.
