Job Summary

Ridgeview Medical Center is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assess surgical procedures and patient requirements with the circulating nurse to prepare the operating room.
  2. Prepare and maintain a sterile operating field for each surgical procedure.
  3. Assist the surgeon as needed during the procedure.
  4. Assist with room turnover between cases.
  5. Perform accurate instrument, sponge, needle, and blade count.
  6. Assist with a variety of surgeries, including general, urology, and orthopedics.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an approved Surgical Technician program or a practical nursing program.
  • Knowledge of sterile technique and equipment handling.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Current CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous surgical experience in a hospital setting.
