About Us

At Avatar Residential Detox Center, we offer comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation, detox, and outpatient services tailored to individual needs. Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Mental Health Addiction Counselor to join our treatment team. The successful candidate will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based practices and motivational interviewing techniques.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless care coordination and discharge planning.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the organization's success.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
  • NJ state license(s): LAC, LSW.
  • Experience working with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position working in a residential detox center in Ringwood, NJ. The successful candidate will work a standard 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts as needed.
