Position Overview:
In the role of an Automotive Technician, you will be integral to our repair operations, ensuring precise evaluations and superior repairs. This position offers a competitive wage range of $26-30 per hour, and we prefer candidates with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, providing an excellent pathway for professional advancement in the automotive repair sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Service Advisors to dismantle vehicles for damage assessment and formulate detailed Repair Plans.
- Carry out repairs effectively to reduce supplementary work and shorten repair durations.
- Adhere to established work procedures and comply with industry standards.
- Perform a variety of repair tasks, including dent removal, welding, and panel replacement.
- Utilize hand and power tools proficiently to accomplish repairs.
- Prepare vehicles for painting by filing, grinding, and sanding repaired surfaces.
- Conduct inspections of repaired vehicles to ensure safety and quality standards are met before returning them to clients.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace while following safety protocols.
- Execute additional responsibilities as needed, including vehicle cleaning and shop upkeep.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possess effective communication skills and the ability to follow directives.
- Demonstrate strong multitasking capabilities in a dynamic environment.
- Exhibit a customer service-oriented attitude with a welcoming demeanor.
- Preferred: 2 or more years of experience in auto body repair.
- Work in a standard shop environment with occasional physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and lifting items over 50 lbs.
- Exposure to typical fumes, chemicals, and noise levels associated with an auto repair shop.
- Protective equipment must be worn as required.
- Visual acuity is necessary for precise repair tasks.
