We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our team at Bright Horizons Children's Centers. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment that fosters the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of children aged 4 and 5.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with Bright Horizons' guidelines and quality standards.
- Lead a team of teachers in planning and implementing daily schedules that provide a balance of activities and promote kindergarten readiness.
- Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times by fulfilling critical health and safety duties.
- Model exemplary behavior and provide guidance to less experienced staff members.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop clear classroom goals and action plans that support a quality program.
- Document children's learning and daily experiences through daily notes, documentation panels, and our child assessment system - Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG).
- Communicate effectively with families, including daily updates and periodic family conferences to discuss transitions and developmental goals.
- Develop positive relationships with colleagues through professional and respectful communication and collaboration.
- Ensure continuity of care for children by maintaining consistent attendance and responding promptly to their needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 12-18 months of professional teaching experience.
- State Educator License in Early Childhood (Pre-K-2) from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
- Ability to lift, move, or hold children with a range of weight from 10 to 40 pounds.
- Pass required state and company background checks.
Bright Horizons Children's Centers offers a competitive salary range of $24.03 to $30.20 per hour, determined by your level of education and experience in Early Childhood Education or a related field. We also offer traditional perks, education assistance, and a collaborative workplace that supports personal and professional growth.
