Job Summary

Aebi Schmidt North America is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling component parts for products according to established specifications, schedules, and standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Fabrication
    • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and schematic drawings to assemble component parts.
    • Assemble component parts for products according to established specifications, schedules, and standards of quality.
    • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners.
  • Quality Control and Inspection
    • Use a variety of hand and power tools along with inspection equipment to ensure assemblies comply with applicable requirements.
    • Test installed parts and accessories for leakage, continuity, and functionality.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping
    • Enter information into established computer system, production records, logs, time clock, and other forms.
    • Report lot codes of components used in assemblies, and record assemblies built.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Disassemble and replace parts as required.
    • Rework, repair, or replace faulty component parts.
  • Housekeeping and Safety
    • Maintain a clean work area.
    • Assist in staging parts for painting.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Skills and Experience
    • Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems.
    • Perform specialized functions in the assembly of electrical or electro-mechanical parts, assembly groups and arrangements to build primary truck products or paint equipment components.
    • Work with electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches or written/verbal directions.
    • Assemble component parts, utilizing appropriate hand tools.
    • Perform striping truck set up functions and initial calibration.
    • Inspect and test completed component assemblies and diagnose malfunctions and make necessary adjustments.
