Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Faculty Member to join our team at Florida National University. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality instruction and career advisement to students in the MSN Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver curriculum that reflects evidence-based practice in MSN courses.
  • Provide mentorship and support to students in online, hybrid, or on-campus settings.
  • Assess student learning outcomes and provide specific measurement parameters to evaluate these outcomes.
  • Conduct classes for the scheduled number of hours assigned to each class meeting.
  • Model appropriate attendance and punctuality for students.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education, research, or related activities.
  • Report grades and submit reports in a timely fashion to the Registrar's office.
  • Attend faculty meetings, professional development functions, and University committees as assigned.
  • Participate in the preparation of Syllabi and contribute to program self-studies and/or accreditation standards fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with librarians to establish and maintain the library program and course collection.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to motivate students, staff, and faculty.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) Certification/RN.
  • 3+ years of experience teaching graduate-level AGACNP courses.
