Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Labor and Employee Relations. This key role will be responsible for ensuring that our employees feel valued, respected, and heard, while also navigating labor issues and maintaining strong relationships with our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigations: Lead thorough investigations into workplace misconduct, conflicts, and disciplinary issues, and provide detailed reports on findings.
  • Grievance Management: Serve as the representative for ServiceNet during grievance hearings, ensuring that all parties are heard and that fair resolutions are reached.
  • Contract and Policy Development: Collaborate with senior management to develop, negotiate, and implement collective bargaining agreements and personnel policies that align with our organization's goals and values.
  • Advisory Role: Offer expert guidance to senior management and employees on labor relations and policy matters, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver training sessions for supervisors to ensure understanding of labor relations and compliance with policies, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Consultation: Work closely with our Talent Acquisition team to ensure that hiring processes involving union candidates are fair, transparent, and compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Project Leadership: Lead special projects related to labor relations and employee investigations, driving results and continuous improvement.
  • Representation: Respond to inquiries from the Department of Unemployment Assistance and coordinate related proceedings, ensuring that ServiceNet's interests are represented and protected.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of investigations and employee relations activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in employee and labor relations, with 2 years in a management role.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; expertise in labor relations; proficiency in HR/CMS, MS Office, and other relevant software; and excellent communication skills.
  • Other: Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, and travel within the ServiceNet footprint as needed.
