Job Summary

As a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist, Sports Medicine Specialist at Memorial Hermann Health System, you will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and initiating treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations. Your expertise will include measurements of neuromuscular and skeletal functions, providing direct patient care, and documenting findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients to determine treatment needs and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Implement physical therapy treatment programs, including advanced physical therapy skills, and provide training and guidance to patients, caregivers, and staff.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Manage time effectively to prioritize patient care and meet productivity standards.
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently in the medical record.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient-centered care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical programs and services that align with the organization's strategic goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university-based Physical Therapy program.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current license to practice Physical Therapy by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or the Physical Therapy Compact Commission. Current certification in Basic Life Support.
  • Experience: Completion of introductory pelvic floor coursework and previous pelvic floor experience, including student clinical rotations, is highly recommended.
