We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating X-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated body parts. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation will be essential in ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Operate X-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body parts
- Perform quality control checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and radiograph results
- Translate examination information into layman's terms to alleviate patient anxiety
- Position patients for radiographs according to departmental standard operating procedures
- Recognize and report patient motor abnormalities to the Radiologist
- Operate equipment for transferring computed images to film and archival of disc memory to tape
- Ensure images are properly marked and labeled with correct date and patient identification
- Key in patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from requisition
- Arrange, attach, or adjust immobilization and supportive devices for patients
- Vocational or Technical school Diploma required
- Current License to practice as a Radiologist in New York State, and Current ARRT Radiology registration required
- 1-3 years of technical experience, required
The salary range for this position is $69,517.5-$111,228/year. Northwell Health is an equal employment opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
