About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rental Equipment Technician to join our team at HVAC RNTL. As a key member of our rental services team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch maintenance and repair services for our rental equipment, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance on equipment to ensure peak performance.
  • Successfully complete installs and ensure that all equipment is properly set up and functioning as expected.
  • Perform specific preventative maintenance, including belt adjustments, oiling, greasing, and cleaning of equipment.
  • Project manage rental sites by conducting regular site visits, developing rental equipment lists, and managing labor estimates.
  • Meet with sales, customer, and vendor teams to ensure responsiveness to customers and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Review cost vs. estimated costs and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Represent the company in a positive manner to other trades, contractors, and owners.
  • Advise owners/customers on proper operation of rental equipment and suggest additional services that are beneficial to customers.
  • Work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Submit required paperwork to the General Manager in a timely manner.
  • Must work in a safe manner on a daily basis and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times.
Requirements
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience in chiller maintenance and repair.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Lift/exert force of 60/75lbs or greater at times.
  • Comfortable and competent ability to drive large trucks and pull trailers as needed.
  • HVAC certification and Universal EPA certification preferred.
  • Must have PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Working Conditions

Will be required to work in an office environment and possibly, occasionally, in the field.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboards and telephones, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
