Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Manager to join our Finance Department. This role reports directly to the Assistant Controller and is pivotal in maintaining the fiscal integrity of PPFA and its affiliated organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Supervision and Management:**
- Oversee the daily activities of staff accountants, ensuring timely preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Manage the accounts receivable function, collaborating with various departments to accurately classify cash receipts and receivables.

2. **Financial Reporting:**
- Assist the Assistant Controller in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Prepare financial statements and notes for audits, maintaining transparency and accountability.

3. **Collaboration and Engagement:**
- Work closely with the Finance team and other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Develop and mentor staff accountants to enhance the quality of financial reporting.
- Coordinate with external parties as necessary to gather information for financial transactions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- CPA designation is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities.

Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $97,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes generous vacation and sick leave, medical, dental, and vision coverage from day one, life insurance, and a 401k plan. Additional benefits include flexible spending accounts and transportation options.
