Your role is crucial to our success. Each position impacts our patients' experiences, and you have the chance to make a significant difference. We are seeking a committed RN for the Critical Care Float Pool to join our team.
Job Summary and QualificationsFloat pool nurses play a pivotal role in delivering care across various departments within the hospital. They possess advanced critical thinking abilities, extensive clinical expertise, and the capacity to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
About this unit:
- Strong communication and collaboration among all hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of the Director, Manager, or Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and delivers patient care, taking individual responsibility for nursing services.
- The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures that nursing care adheres to hospital policies, state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice, and unit-specific standards.
Qualifications Required:
- BSN preferred.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri is mandatory. If a multistate RN license is held upon hire, a Missouri RN license must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- BLS certification is required at the time of hire and must be maintained.
- ACLS certification is required within six months.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification is required within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter.
- Must document a minimum of eight (8) hours of continuing education related to cerebrovascular (stroke) care each fiscal year.
- Must be credentialed in trauma care (TNCC) within six months of assignment and document eight (8) hours of trauma-related continuing education annually.
- 1-2 years of prior experience is preferred.
- Experience in a facility of similar size and services is preferred.
- Prior experience in emergency, pre-hospital, or critical care settings is advantageous.
