Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant II is a vital member of our healthcare team at Enloe Medical Center. As an unlicensed individual with limited training, you will perform basic administrative, clerical, and medical tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed physician or designated mid-level providers in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist medical providers with patient care, including preparing patients for clinician evaluation, collecting and recording patient data, and applying and removing dressings.
- Perform routine medical procedures, such as lab draws, injections, and administering medications.
- Interact professionally and effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and the public.
- Utilize clerical and computer skills for various medical office support functions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to patients and their families.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program or Associates degree or higher in a clinical healthcare field, with two years of back office medical experience.
- One year of Medical Assistant experience or previous phlebotomy experience.
- Current CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Front medical office experience, including reception, registration, scheduling, billing, and medical record functions.
Skills and Abilities:
- Skilled at blood draws and administering injections.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and grammatical skills for effective communication.
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
