Job Title: Adjunct - Art Appreciation/Art History

Lee College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty Member to teach Art Appreciation and Art History courses on a part-time basis.

Job Summary:

The Adjunct Faculty Member will be responsible for teaching freshman and sophomore-level Art Appreciation and Art History courses, as well as maintaining accurate student accounting records and submitting required student reports to the Admissions & Records Office.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Art Appreciation and Art History courses, utilizing approved syllabi, outlines, and instructional materials.
  • Maintain accurate student accounting records and submit required student reports to the Admissions & Records Office.
  • Provide counsel/guidance to students as needed.
  • Teach assigned classes, including evening, summer, online, hybrid, dual enrollment, and/or weekend classes.
  • Provide at least one scheduled office hour per week for each three-credit course in a regular 16-week semester or two scheduled office hours per week in an 8-week term.
Requirements:
  • A Master's (or higher) degree in the teaching field or a Master's (or higher) degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field.
  • Prior online teaching experience and certification are preferred.
  • Blackboard Learning Management System experience is also preferred.
