Role Description
As a Maintenance Technician II, you will leverage your expertise to assist the Operations Maintenance team in the upkeep and repair of material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the facility.
You will have the chance to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution machinery. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills while mentoring junior technicians in their professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and completing preventative maintenance tasks with appropriate documentation.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
- Foster positive working relationships across the Amazon Operations facility and manage department inventory effectively.
- Be capable of lifting up to 49 lbs and remain on your feet during shifts that may last up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Be prepared for 50% or more travel prior to launches to fulfill various building launch and training responsibilities.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Associate's degree or higher from a vocational school or college focusing on Mechanical or Electrical fields.
- At least 2 years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls, as well as in the repair of material handling equipment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
- 1+ years of experience in metal and wood fabrication.
- 1+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
- 1+ year of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
- 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical fields.
- Familiarity with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and safety regulations.
- Project Management experience is a plus.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and robotic operation and maintenance.
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
