Position Overview
This role is situated within the Service Center Operations Directorate, specifically in the HART (Humanitarian, Adjustment, Removing Conditions, and Travel Documents) Service Center.

Role Summary
As a Senior Immigration Services Specialist, you will be responsible for adjudicating intricate and precedent-setting cases, overseeing junior officers, and conducting analytical evaluations related to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) program functions.

Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate adjudications by managing complex cases, performing security assessments, detecting fraud, ensuring program quality, providing training and mentorship, and acting as a liaison to various stakeholders while communicating decisions effectively.
- Conduct analytical evaluations associated with USCIS program activities, including assessing the efficacy of current and proposed standards, regulations, and policies.
- Supervise and adjudicate cases with national security implications and significant public safety concerns, serving as a subject matter expert in complex adjudications.
- Engage in legal research and draft position papers, notices of intent, and removal proceedings notifications.
- Formulate standard operating procedures aimed at identifying and preventing benefit fraud, while monitoring progress to ensure objectives are achieved.

Collaboration
Work closely with USCIS Fraud Detection and National Security (FDNS) officers, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) attorneys and agents, as well as other legal, law enforcement, and intelligence personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
- Successful completion of a Background Investigation, including financial disclosure.
- Must pass a drug screening.
- Submission of a resume and supporting documentation is required.
- Males born after a certain date must be registered with the Selective Service.
- Compliance with the Telework Enhancement Act of 2010 for telework and remote work programs.

Residency Requirement
Applicants not currently employed by USCIS must meet a residency requirement, which stipulates that candidates must have resided in the U.S. for three of the last five years or have worked for the U.S. Government overseas in a Federal or Military capacity.

Probationary Period
Selected candidates may be required to serve a probationary period.
