Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, physicians, personnel, and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol and monitor facility premises to prevent and detect security breaches
  • Observe and report suspicious and unauthorized activities and unsafe conditions
  • Control access to the facility and manage keys
  • Respond to emergencies and provide assistance to staff, patients, and visitors
  • Investigate and document incidents, and provide liaison between staff and local law enforcement agencies
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • PSO - Proprietary Private Security Officer certification within 30 days of start date
  • Valid Drivers License Class C
  • 1 year recent relevant experience
Skills and Knowledge
  • General knowledge of security procedures and protocols
  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
  • Ability to write incident reports and read business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Working Conditions
  • Night shift work
  • Varied schedule
  • 8-hour shifts
