Computed Tomography Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a CT Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of medical images for patients undergoing CT scanning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate and safe procedures.
  • Position patients correctly for scanning and use computerized tomography equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance image visibility and evaluate CT scans for technical quality.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
  • Understand and utilize the McKesson PACS system for efficient image management.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as a CT Tech.
  • BLS certification and ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography.
  • State-specific licensing when required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop easily.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
