Role Summary: The Perioperative Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care throughout the surgical experience. This role requires a compassionate and knowledgeable individual who can effectively manage patient needs during the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and gather essential patient information.
- Assist in the surgical suite, ensuring adherence to sterile protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patients during anesthesia administration and throughout the surgical procedure.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide post-anesthesia care and evaluate patient readiness for discharge.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- A minimum of two years of nursing experience, with a preference for critical care or perioperative settings.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and regulatory standards for patient care.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
