Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse in the Float Pool is responsible for collaborating with physicians, Nurse Managers, and colleagues to monitor and communicate changes in patients' clinical conditions. This role requires a quick and accurate response to alterations in patient status or treatment efficacy. The RN will perform general nursing responsibilities across various departments under appropriate supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in effective communication with the healthcare team regarding patient assessments and diagnostic results.
- Adapt to diverse clinical environments, demonstrating flexibility and competence in multiple units.
- Report directly to the House Supervisor and Chief Nursing Officer.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in Oklahoma is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required; if not current, it must be obtained during initial orientation.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within the first six months of employment if not already held.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous employment is essential.
