Logistics and Fleet Supervisor

Join our team as a Lead Driver at Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC), where you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement of mail and packages across the region.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a tractor trailer (semi) truck safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Manage delivery and pickup schedules, meeting deadlines and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Collaborate with the Transportation Supervisor or Manager and the Operations Team to resolve any issues or concerns.
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving complaints in a professional manner.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements within the transportation department.

Requirements:

• Valid state motor vehicle operator's license in the state where the driver resides (CDL Class A) and meet applicable DOT requirements for CDL.
• Minimum six months verifiable driving experience and 75,000 miles in the last five years driving a tractor trailer (semi) truck with a safe driving record.
• Ability to drive any company vehicle and operate within Hours of Service regulations.
• Knowledge of USPS regulations and mailing standards.
• Basic understanding of production processes and mailing separations.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
