Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to join our team at MNP. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of network systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure.

This role requires a strong understanding of network administration, design, and security, as well as experience with Cisco and Extreme hardware, SD-WAN, wired and wireless installations, and monitoring and maintenance of networks.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in CS, CIS, MIS, or a related field, and 1-3 years of hands-on experience in network administration. Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Network+, are also desirable.

As a Network Administrator at MNP, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including network design, implementation, and maintenance. You will also be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and optimize existing network infrastructure
  • Plan for improvements and growth of the network
  • Develop and implement VLAN configuration where necessary
  • Recommend and configure network and server hardware
  • Administer Watchguard firewall and VPN tunnels
  • Assist with virtualization clusters (Hyper-V)
  • Lead any networking projects
  • Perform high-level (L2/L3) helpdesk duties
  • Participate in on-call afternoon support rotation
  • Support production infrastructure as needed
  • Provide after-hours/production support for emergencies or scheduled maintenance
  • Mentor team members, sharing expertise, and offering insights to optimize task completion
  • Maintain a constructive and optimistic approach, fostering a culture that promotes teamwork and generates comprehensive solutions
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between development and infrastructure teams, improving workflows and resolving conflicts to ensure project success
