Position Overview:
The CMM Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for operating and managing a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality. This role involves detailed inspections and the preparation of comprehensive reports based on the collected data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and document inspection plans based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ensure all documentation and records are maintained in compliance with company and customer standards.
- Assist in facilitating source inspections alongside customer representatives.
- Coordinate inspection activities with project and production management teams.
- Uphold a safe and organized work environment.
- Possess a thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) as per ANSI Y14.5, with knowledge of CAD and 3D modeling being advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret and process information, develop work plans, and communicate objectives effectively.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry quality standards and practices.
- Mathematical proficiency to perform calculations related to geometric and trigonometric functions, as well as algebraic conversions.
A high school diploma is preferred, with an engineering background or relevant experience considered a plus. A valid driver's license is required, and familiarity with welding processes is beneficial.
